Sioux Lookout has the 4th busiest airport in Ontario with 165,000 passengers in 2008. Sewer and water infrastructure has been extended to the Municipal Airport, providing over 15 serviced commercial lots for development.
The Municipality has over $250 million in capital projects taking place in the community including the construction of the new 63-bed hospital and 100 bed Hostel which will provide health care services to Sioux Lookout and 29 First Nation communities.
