The Business Mentorship and Entrepreneurship Program (BMEP), part of Ontario's Market Readiness Program, helps innovative science and technology companies bring new technologies to market by providing the necessary skills and services. BMEP is designed to meet the needs of start-up and early-stage science and technology companies in these sectors, offering the following program components at no cost to entrepreneurs:
- Entrepreneur Training - Offers online training courses for entrepreneurs with varying levels of experience. Participants will develop skills required to create a new business or expand an existing enterprise. Introductory Courses are targeted towards budding technology entrepreneurs, while Intermediate and Advanced Courses will address specific skills required for those actively developing a company.
- Business Mentorship - Provides services to assist business managers in new, innovative companies to understand and solve specific business and technology development problems. These services include access to Market Intelligence, mentorship from experienced Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, and funding for specific Business Advisory Services that go beyond the scope of BMEP's offerings.
