Ontario Makes Economic Sense

A 2008 international study by consulting firm KPMG found that Canada's manufacturing costs, for a precision component manufacturing operation, run less than those in many other international location, due in large part to lower energy and operating costs in Ontario. This coupled with secure access to North America makes Ontario an extremely attractive location to do business.

Ontario Advanced Manufacturing Investment Strategy (AMIS)

A $500 million multi-year repayable loan program is in effect, to encourage companies operating in Ontario to transform processes and invest in leading edge technologies that will increase productivity and competitiveness.

This makes available repayable loans, interest free for up to five years, up to 30% of eligible project costs, to a maximum of $10 million in program contributions.
