"With MakerSpace Brampton, we are bringing the community together to build something and boldly say that we are still a nation of manufacturing."

- Farzad Rayegani, director of Sheridan's advanced manufacturing centre

The above is an excerpt from a very interesting article that first appeared on plant.ca describing the MakerSpace creative hub, a unique partnership between the City of Brampton, the Brampton Public Library and Sheridan College.

Described as a "collaboratory," experts from Sheridan College's Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies lead workshops on new technologies, including 3D printing, robotics and architecture.

In addition to manufacturers, MakerSpace also targets a grassroots audience, getting everyone in the community to think about advanced manufacturing techniques and concepts from an early age - forging the next generation of advanced manufacturing innovators.

We highly recommend you read the article in its entirety.
